It is common for rate data to be formatted differently between suppliers and Maxxton—for example, a nightly price versus a length-of-stay price (e.g., two or more nights). Since search performance varies by rate format, choosing the correct price index is crucial when displaying availability data, particularly for website visitors who are still exploring options.
The Hybrid Index Mode resolves these challenges by improving how availability data is indexed and retrieved, ensuring faster and more accurate results.
How does the Hybrid Index Mode work?
- Supplier rate data is connected to Maxxton Software, and all availability with multiple indices is stored centrally.
- When a website visitor searches for available dates, the Hybrid Index Mode enables indexing across two different availability indices in parallel.
- After performing a quick search, the availability data from both indices is merged into a single result.
- The final availability result is then sent to the Web Manager or API, ensuring the website visitor sees all available units instantly.
By using parallel searching in smaller data sets, the Hybrid Index Mode significantly improves speed and efficiency.
